Faith that can’t be beaten

An old iron bell hanging outdoors at dawn, caught mid-swing with sound lines radiating out, calling the day awake.

Lord my God, you’ve shaken the heaviness of sleep from me and woken me to a new day. Please give me, God, faith that can’t be beaten, love that doesn’t waver, and hope that’s real. Bless my going out and my coming in, my actions and my work, my words and my thoughts. And let me begin this day praising you, singing and thanking you for your goodness, which is greater than words can say. For your holy name is blessed, and the kingdom of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is praised, now and always and forever. Amen.

The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.
